Hiya,

Is there any way to make a new XP CD with all the MS updates on it so i've not got to run all the MS updates when i re-install Windows on a PC?

Cheers, Ben

I might give Ryan's silent installer a try if nlite is frowned on for education use. I'll give it a whirl.

Thanks for all your help, much appreciated!

RyanVM's packages are meant for use with nLite to make a slipstreamed/unattended install CD. As far as i'm aware you can't use the packages on their own.

There are other alternatives to nLite just google "slipstream windows"

nLite doesn't work with sysprep due to signing issues. It's also only for personal use when you read the license :|

In what way?

Ive got a nlite'ed and ryanvm'ed CD that I use for all images in school, and sysprep works perfectly

If you are just using it for patches it will probably work. When removing some components after sysprep it starts looking for files that already exist, its just a few but it interupts sysprep.
