We have found that this happens if a second user has logged on using switch user without the first user logging off completely - the software only allows the first user to have control of the application.

Hi all,

I would recommend updating the ActivDriver to the latest version (v5.9.27) from Free Teaching Resources, Lesson Plans & Worksheets, as we now support fast-user switching as of v5.7.25 which fixes the issue described by Linfit above.

Given that administrators can access the calibration and standard users cannot, you are more than likely looking at access rights to the calibration program itself or the registry entries that it rights the calibration to.

The calibration program by default is held here: C:\Program Files\Activ Software\ActivDriver

The registry entries for calibration are held here: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\ACTIVhidmini\Parameters\Calibration

Please check the access rights to the above 2 locations if the upgrade to the latest ActivDriver (v5.9.27) does not resolve the issue.
