psydii Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 BBC News - Pupil dies after wall collapses at Liberton High School
sparkeh Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Just terrible. And to think that a pupil warned them about it...
NikChillin Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If they were warned about it and did nothing then that is inexcusable...
localzuk Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Terrible news. Its not that school's first major incident either! Poor kid! RIP.
sparkeh Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If they were warned about it and did nothing then that is inexcusable... I should qualify my earlier post by saying that its anecdotal at the moment and its not clear who knew else knew, but yes, if true, its inexcusable, and, I imagine, someone will be legally responsible. - - - Updated - - - Terrible news. Its not that school's first major incident either! Poor kid! RIP. Oh? What else has happened?
CAM Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Another kid died on 22 December playing football for an U14 match for Tyneside FC (sounds not linked to the school?). And in 2011, a pupil fell down a lift shaft but thankfully survived. Sounds like council H&S will have a field day.
Vasriel Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Terrible news to hear. Below is the article about a girl falling down a lift shaft. Edinburgh council was fined £8000 regarding the incident. Article about pupil falling down lift shaft in same school Edited April 1, 2014 by Vasriel
