Like others have said, Target Tracker just works... I've got v14.0.1 installed here. Just import the msi straight in to the RMMC and deploy. No need to mess around capturing a package using clean machines.

Did you try installing it manually? Software, Packages & Products, All Packages. Right click on the package and select export, then save it to your local drive and run it. If that doesn't work event viewer should tell you what the problem is.

Or just totally remove the package and start from scratch using the process described above.

I know it should be that simple, but I have tried it that way. when I tried to run it after exporting it, it comes up with an error 2731.

I am quite a novice at this, and if anybody would be so kind as to write out exactly what they did that works. I would really appreciate it. I can't see what I am doing wrong and I have no one to help me. So I will have another go

Where did you import it from, do you still have the original MSI you imported? If so, you can just use that. No need to do an export.

Try this, a simple basic package using the msi that you have extracted.

Create a folder on your desktop Target Tracker V14.0.1

Copy the msi into the folder.

create an ini file called Target Tracker v14.0.1.ini with the following lines ...

[Package]

Name=Target Tracker V14.0.1

Description=Suitable description for the package

OS=5.WS

WIPackage=TheNameOfTheMSI.msi

Import into the RMMC as a CC3 package, assign to a test station ensuring any prerequisites (.net etc are assigned).

This should work, if not, it maybe that you have a corrupt download.

I thought .Net Framework 2.0 is a prerequisite software prior Target Tracker software installation.

Please try to install .Net Framework 2.0 and reassign the package.

:rolleyes: I am happy now, finally done it by using dotNet4.0 as a dependency and starting form scratch with a new download etc.

Many thanks to everyone for their suggestions
