Blind Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Oddly, I seem to be starting most of my messages with caveats… I’m not sure if there is a better place for this type of post. Please move it as required. I grow weary of my predecessor's system of using a paper signup sheet posted in the computer lab to schedule reservations and the leave a voicemail/email method to book data projector carts. I want a network/online tool to allow my teachers to reserve these type of resources. We use Google Apps for education for email and their calendar system does not really have a nice resource reservation system like outlook. And it needs to be drop dead simple as some of our staff think the wheel is a new and complicated invention. So what are you guys using? (It also helps if it’s available on the side of the English speaking ocean that should have lost that little skirmish in the 1770s. )
Ric_ Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Do a search for MRBS... might be what you are looking for although you will need something like XAMPP if you want to use Windoze.
kestrel1 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 A bit behind the times here as well, still using pen & paper. To move the staf into the twentieth century would be hard, but to get them into the twenty first would be near impossible. The wheel, What is that???
webman Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 We're using my own Classroombookings which uses PHP and MySQL.
colingally Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 We're using Google Docs (spreadsheet). We just sent out invites to the teachers so they can edit it. Working well.
