Yea, I'm aware they are part of the ongoing development process. I just choose not to put too much time in it because of the wipes.

the devs tweeted not long ago that the next wipe is the last. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

that means i can build my deathstar with out knowing its going to be gone in the next patch after

I'm very impressed with this game. I enjoyed Terraria but this is just so much more fun. A friend is running a server and I'm up to the Gamma sector, but with another wipe coming this week I'm bracing myself for losing my character again D:

 

Apparently you can edit your saves, though, but that's a road I don't want to go down

 

As a note, there's a completely-vanilla-compatable mod that allows you to dismantle and re-build your ship (and everyone else will see the changes, too!) - might be worth a look-see.
