Disable ALL certificate warnings??

I've been trying to disable certificate warnings for IE8 for a while now, but I've hit a brick wall. We are RM CC4 and their support has been useless *(to put it kindly)!

All I want to do is disable all certificate errors in internet explorer (via GPO). I've followed various articles etc to do this but we still get the invalid certificate warnings appear all the time.

It happens mainly when a user opens Google Drive, and when they try and click "Continue to the webpage (not recommended)." Literally nothing happens!

I just want to unblock all as a test to see if it fixes the google drive problem, because even when the users click "Continue to the webpage (not recommended)." Nothing happens :S

Allowing all of them is only a workaround for now until I can figure out how to allow certain websites with invalid certificates through.

This'll no doubt be a root certificate update. If you google this, you can deploy the latest hotfix to properly resolve these certificate errors. If you're using CC4, I believe you should be using WSUS anyway.

We are having the Google Drive issue. Latest root cert updates don't seem to fix it.

Us too, installed the [update for Root Certificates for Windows 7 [November 2013] (KB931125)] update today on a few test workstations, but still get the problem. Are you getting the same issue then?

 

@Michael There isn't an option to view the certificate through the Google drive app, so I'm not sure, maybe it is a Google issue then - I've just set it up today so I assumed the error was coming from our end.

This is the odd thing, when I try and look at the cert it says 'This site does not have a certificate'.

Yeah seems so, every other google service works fine, just drive.

Ok ok, IE tells me the site had no cert, however Chrome tells me that the cert was issued by our smoothie box.

Time to log a call I think.

Hi,

 

Smoothwall is intercepting your HTTPS requests, inspecting them, re-signing them with its own man in the middle cert and then handing them back on to the client signed by a certificate the client doesnt trust.

 

You just need to export your guardian Cert from Smoothwall and import it into your clients.
