Evening,

 

Several of you Edugeekers have been extremely supportive of my running by sponsoring the different runs, talking about weight loss and so on. So I though I'd share with you the news that today I was chosen out of ~2600 other runners to attend the Runners World 26.2 Paris Marathon Bootcamp.

50 of us have been chosen. From what I know about last years, they will whittle it down to 15 and then to 5. The lucky 5 will get trained by ASICS and Runners World to run in the Paris Marathon in April.

Well done you Gareth. As a now knee knackered retired runner I have total respect for you and hope you achieve the goal of being selected for the boot camp. I used to really love my running, wasn't so keen on pavement / road but a good cross country couldn't be bettered for brightening the day.
