Tablet Trolley - Any recommendations....

We are looking for a trolley to store & charge 30 tablets - any recommendations please? School prefer a trolley rather than a case. Thanks

We have a monarch for our iPads. It's only a charge one, not charge and sync. It's pretty good, nice and easy to keep the cables tidy and all the sides and back open up for easy access to the cables etc.

Main things to consider are the usage:

 

-Is it purely for charging or do you want synch functionality as well?

-Is it primarily being used as a storage device or security as well?

-Will it be utilised by students removing and replacing tablets? If so consider the design and ease as damaged chargers and power inputs can occur

-Will it need to travel between floors at any point?

-What tablets will it hold? Obviously this leads to a variety of compatibility, size and synch questions as well; some trolleys are very much specialist storage solutions for one model of tablet only, whereas others can be utilised with a mixed assortment of tablets.

 

There are a plethora of options out there now, each with pro's and con's, the key thing is to consider the real world usage and requirement rather than the "oo shiny" features that aren't relevant or the ultra low price point- quality costs after all.

Ah, let's see what the edugeek community shout out for. As a supplier we like them all, and we tend to supply what the customer asks for, so it'd be great to know what t'others have to say.

We use one called Lock and Charge. Ours holds 16 ipads, but they do one that holds 32. I find it really good. It's very sturdy I can roll it into my office to sync software from Apple Configurator in one fell swoop. Easy to roll around etc. And I like the 'shopping baskets' that hold the ipads. Plus it looks like an air-hostess's trolley, and we get no end of amusement offering people tea and coffee as we wheel it around.

We have two Isis charge and sync trolleys bought from RM. They do a 15 unit version and a 30. (we have the 30). There is the facility to store a MacBook also which can be plugged into the central hub for syncing the ipads. They are very robust, not unattractive (too many steel boxes on wheels around for my liking) and can be moved around the school easily by two students. The usb cables are plugged in to a hub behind a steel facia and secured by a zip tie to prevent them being pulled out of the hub. Generally very impressed.
