Hi,

We have some iPods and an iPad in school and it won't let me update the iOS. It keeps saying 'Unable to verify update. iOS 7.0.3 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.'

There's no issue downloading apps, going on online or anything else. Just happens when trying to update the iOS... anyone know why??

Are you behind a proxy? If you use a proxy this happens in some areas on apple devices as the apps don't take settings from each other. I cheated and just tethered them to my phone and verified them that way

Yeah we are behind a proxy. Maybe the server address is being blocked by our filtering system? Any ideas what the address might be?

I found I needed to add ip exceptions as well into our firewall, depends how many ipads you have whether its the worth he hassle of doing. Tethering them to a 3g device is the easiest work around, we only have 10 ipads though

Tethered to my phone aswell, it downloads the update already and then verifies when you have it tethered so you don't need to worry about your data plan.
