Access TES via Chrome

Hi

 

We seem to have an issue with access The TES - Education Jobs, Teaching Resources, Magazine & Forums via Google Chrome. No problems using IE.

 

Anyone else have this issue of not getting past the login screen on Chrome?

I've reported it to their social media tea and they know all about it. The last big site update didn't fix it so I don't think they care. Works gone for me until you log in...

Yeah, we have exactly the same issue here.

Same thing occurring with us... Firefox and IE OK but Chrome just sits there and won't log anyone on!

Contacted TES Support whose response was :-

 

"Thank you for your email. This issue has been brought to our attention by other schools as well. There are no issues at our end and we believe this issue is related to your firewall settings. As teachers are able to access the website using other browsers, this shows that there are no issues at our end.

 

I am sorry but we are unable to help with firewall related issues.

 

Please do contact us again if we can be of any other help."

 

So no joy there! How can it be a firewall issue that only picks on Chrome? Doesn't work even with all the firewall settings off.

 

Has anyone had a any luck with this yet?

Yes, it was an IP address that TES uses or redirects to that needed clearing on our Smoothwall.

 

I can dig it out if people need the address......

I just put them in custom allowed content using quick block/allow

Mine just went into 'Global Allow" worked fine
