Is that £127/device?

Our McAfee sub runs out soon - how easy was it to get rid of? (All devices had it built into the image).

I paid a lot less that £127/device (5K for 900 machines for 3 years).

Mcafee can be either a pain or easy to remove - Which version are you running?

I am actually doing this again - but replacing with another vendor.

8.8. Ent. I'm hoping it can be uninstalled from a central location...

Free in States

Are those states that seem undersubscribed the same ones that won't allow commie ideas like free healthcare?

I'm afraid not - but you can do it via startup script using this

msiexec /x {CE15D1B6-19B6-4D4D-8F43-CF5D2C3356FF} REMOVE=ALL REBOOT=R /q

C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\FrmInst.exe /forceuninstall /silent

They will uninstall Mcafee 8.8 the first one the Enterprise part the second the Mcafee agent.

I certainly wouldn't pay too much attention to the prices listed on the site, drop me a PM with details of your potential requirement and I'll prepare a proposal for you.

It's good to see so many reccomendations for it, we looked at Panda and Symantec before choosing to deploy Avast on our office network (and maybe my home devices too...depending on who was asking questions!)

You aint seen me...right?

Idiot question, but do I need to do more than stick that code into a batch file? The agent part remains stubbornly installed :(.

You shouldn't do - unless the machine is x64 and you might need to change the path.

The agent may be located with another place. That was for epo 4.6 I think

That's where FrmInst.exe is, either the command doesn't run or it doesn't work. Next back there on Tuesday, so I'll have another play then.
