[sims] SIMS Learning Gateway Online Demo / SmoothWall

Trying to access the online Captia SIMS SLG Demo Portal:

 

http://portal.capita-cso.co.uk/schools/Gabbey/SLG/default.aspx

 

But without success, comes up with a blank page in IE, and "this webpage is not available" with Chrome.

 

After some investigating it appears to be "some" setting in SmoothWall, as if I bypass, using Port 801 the website loads fine.

The realtime logs shows no blocking; which leads me to it being either firewall port rules or possible certificates (although it is not a https website)

 

I know it is something simple, but it's Friday...(please, no Rebecca Black again!)

Only works via Port 801 (i.e. total bypass of SmoothWall), even when not using bypass but with no filtering enabled it still doesn't load.

 

Port? Firewall?

 

Can someone please try the URL who has SmoothWall filtering please and let me know?

Works for me ™ using Smoothwall - I get the username & password prompt from the site. We also use SLG.

 

From poking around in our config, we've whitelisted capita-cso.co.uk (set to allow) and turned off caching for the domain, but nothing else stands out as relevant.

Finally got it working.

 

I had already done what @pete suggested, as this was the very first thing I tried. Only this time I added the domain (capita-cso.co.uk) to the Auth Bypass Category instead.
