I've saved in the pokemon centre on the edge of the ring and nothing happened... but it doesn't hit everyone.

 

TBH I usually just go to the closest route and save.

 

But all buildings are supposed to be fine. I think the ring is one area and it's too much to load when you start up. [building interiors are seperate zones that get loaded as and when you use them.]

I took the Jaw fossil and got the awesome t-rex 'cause my friend took the other. I think I got the better end of the deal. Lovingly dubbed it 'Tyrone' (Goddamnit, Tyrone, get your shit together!)

I took the sail fossil, I have not done anything with it as of yet, it's just sitting in a box on the computer

 

I picked the Jaw fossil You should take it straight to the Fossil Lab right next to the entrance of route 9 and they'll turn it into a 'mon instantly (no waiting around this time). I then left my restored fossil in the Day Care Centre to let it level up to about lvl 35, I just need to get around to evolving it at lvl 39 by day.

 

I can't believe how much time I've already chucked into this I'll soon be over-taking XCom and Skyrim for hours played. lol (currently 72 hours). I had a battle against a mate last night and I totally pwned his team with my Butterfree (eliminating both his Blastoise and his Mega MewTwo X with it). Haha!

Nope! I've only just completed the 6th gym.

It still actually bears its 'proper' name which isn't Tyrogue anymore, since it evolved. But oh well. Thing is, it wasn't a bad 'mon at all, I never once felt it had to get it together. I just misread it the first time I got it and, due to the Tyrone meme, it stuck.

I managed to get a modest tyrogue once... never has a meme been more appropriate.

I just hit 98 pokemon in the 'dex... with most of them caught.

 

I think it's time to use one team.

Nicely done. I've spent most of the evening catching Xerneas and soft-resetting until I got one with a good nature that I can work with. I finally got a nice speedy one with what looks like fairly nice IVs too, just need to EV train it next. I still haven't quite got to grips with these Fairy types yet.

I Know Fairy types are good agenised Dragon (any dragon attacking move never hits) and fighting, weak agenised Steel and poison in my experience, but could have more.

Oh I have found a list of unobtainables in X Y (but I can help you with those after the PokéTransfer tool is released)

Yeah, sorry about that - I felt bad. Honest All my 'mon are fully EV trained. TIP: Never let my Butterfree live for long 'cos it will bug you with Sleep Powder every time. If its any consolation my Butterfree swept my m8's team (who is also a veteran Pokémon battler) 2HKOing Mega MewTwo X after a few Quiverdances, OHKOing Blastoise, Umbreon, etc. I felt gud about that tho.

Fairy is also weak against Fire too, as in it's not very effective hitting Fire types.

One would imagine so, I guess you'll find out when it reaches lvl 32 After a cursory glance at your team it looks a little bit weak against water types, just sayin'.

Currently rolling with a (what I hope to be!) balanced party, all around level 55 at the moment.

Greninja, Raichu, Dodrio, Venusaur, Tyrogue's-evolved-form and.. I forget the last one. It's a fire 'mon that has either lion or a lioness form depending on its gender.
