OutToLunch Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Cheeky one this, but worth a try... I'll be having a look on Freecycle as well... Trying to get a media suite up and running on a shoestring - does anyone in the Derby/Notts area have any old (working) 19"+ CRT monitors sat about taking up storage space they'd like to dispose of in my direction? Looking for 3 or 4 if the ICT gods are smiling.
craiglay Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Personally I have a 21" flat CRT monitor what used to be a hard of sight PC in the University I went to which I'm looking to get rid of. Problem is, i'm in Norfolk. Craig
ninjabeaver Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 We could sponsor you to walk there with it. For charity mate.
craiglay Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 There's an idea... Hmmm, might be easier to suggest coming to pick it up. It weighs probably just over a ton!!
ninjabeaver Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 ROFL. If it's anything like my old 19" Sony Trinitron CRT then it probably does.
craiglay Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Yeah, I had longer arms for weeks after lugging mine around uni.
tech_guy Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 We could sponsor you to walk there with it. For charity mate. ROFL. I put my back out once carrying one of those f&*%$ up a flight of stairs. And yes, I was carrying it properly.
OutToLunch Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 With many thanks to KateM for taking time out from her evening to help me out, and one more monitor from Freecycle, I now have 3 very nice CRT's up and running and a roomful of happy kids/teacher. I also have backache. Whoever decided to put the media suite upstairs then request 21" CRT's should have had to carry them for me Thanks Kate!
