Zammo Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Hello there, I have been asked to very tentaively collect some quotes for moving our internet service (and therefore filtering) away from our current service, farmed out by the LEA to a 3rd party. I was wondering which companies other people are using? I would like the option of content filtering included, but also the option to handle our own if needs be. Other than that I am open to suggestions! Thanks for your time. Edited September 26, 2013 by Dos_Box
IrritableTech Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) We've recently moved to Schools Broadband who will offer you a quote with lightspeed filtering and fortinet firewall included. When we compared them to other providers we approached, they seemed to offer the most complete package at a reasonable cost. We're a reasonably large secondary school using one of their 100mbit fibre lines. Three weeks after install, we're very happy at the moment. Edited September 16, 2013 by IrritableTech
Zammo Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 Thanks @IT I will definately drop them a line Any other suggestions anyone?

sonofsanta Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 We're on a leased fibre line (including Fortigate firewall) with Vaioni, have been for nearly three years, with filtering done in house with a Smoothwall. Still delighted with the combination.

Dos_Box Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Changed the thread title to make it reflect the question.
Wesparton Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 *old post bump* We have started using The Network People, They use FortiGate for filtering. They are absolutely superb. Support is instant. Everyone you speak to is an engineer. Not a single issue, not a single (noticeable) second of downtime.
DuckTech Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 We use Stream Networks (Stream Networks - Business Communications Provider) - always been a reliable and helpful supplier
