STOCKTOBER2! A month of prizes and sweeties from VeryPC

I think Emma should get her own spin off competition. If you run it next month you could call it NovEmmer or NovEmmber or summat...

Ok, sorry - I'll go get a coffee and have a re-think :getmecoat:

Any chance of micro-competitions for extra entries?

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod yes.

I suggest a tournament on 80s classic "Track & Field" as per gameshow "First Class" (2:20 if you don't watch to watch it all (but you really should)):

*Starts flexing his thumbs*

Wadda mean I had a crush on Debbie Greenwood! Humph!

Edit: Ok before the pedants come out in force, I now realise that the game feature at 2:20 is not in fact "Track & Field" but "Hypersports". Sorry, I will neg rep myself for that terrible lapse of geekery...

Hey people.

Here is your daily winner draw for STOCKTOBER2!

http://youtu.be/E1oo2Jf7XL4

Congratulations winner! Let us know your box number (please consider the wall stability - be kind) and we'll reveal your prize a bit later on.

Remember entries are still open, so if you get in now you'll be in the draw from tomorrow onwards until your name is drawn (but will be put back before the star prize PS4 draw). To enter just PM me your professional contact details if you are a UK based IT manager/tech type, OR if you've entered a VeryPC competition on EduGeek before, you can just speak up in the thread that you want back in and we'll add you.

Tanks folks,

Al

Playstation FOUR DUALshock FOUR

It is a number. Four dual four [or 444].

He managed to get your picture in the shot though! :p

It's impossible to NOT film it. It's so cool, it attracts the FoV of the camera to it. :p

Plus, it's dangerous to ignore Emma. Picture or not.

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!

Box.......... number....... 8 please :D

Oh and Wizbit!? Its the Dark Mage from Final Fantasy: Black Mage (Final Fantasy) - The Final Fantasy Wiki has more Final Fantasy information than Cid could research

Wizbit indeed.....

Whoah - speedy response!

Congratulations to you @sparkeh, we'll reveal your prize shortly.

Re Wizbit: After I said that I remembered what Wizbit really looks like and worked out I was wrong so I did a quick Google search by image and it informed me of the same (apparently some geezer called "Vivi"). I'm a right doofus.

For anyone who doesn't remember, here's what Wizbit really looks like (reckon I'm showing my age by making this reference):

And here's a vid to demonstrate what a "normal" programme Wizbit was:

I have to say that the professionalism and production values have increased no end for Stocktober2.

Cheers @Gonk

Now I'm pretty sure you are being genuine and paying us a compliment there, but if you were a snide person rather than the top bloke you are, that could be a top quality back-handed sarcy comment.

I put the more professional look down to @VeryPC_Tom_B and Tom Denton's hard work in preparing my new "studio" in our training room, plus some better lighting that we got for our latest product photography.

The massive wall of boxes helps too I reckon (that was MY idea!)

Yes. It's a number. Suuuuure it is!

Anyway, 444 is not in the range 1-31, so we're safe.

Sadly I sit in front of Edugeek all day hitting F5. Around 2009 my hand got tired so I employed a drinking bird to take over the strain, much like this:

Funny, I am still more disturbed by the appearance of Paul Daniels than all the trippy stuff.

Indeed I was being genuine! You've got a studio, lighting and everything! I save my sarcasm for stupid people I work with.

First of all....Al, have you lost weight, as you look slimmer than last year.

Second of all...is Emma a prize? :D ;)

Dunno about the weight - I feel about the same tbh. Thanks for noticing anyway!

As for Emma being a prize, I think there may one or two human rights conventions preventing it, but we would if we could (and if she allowed to and didn't just blast us all to superheated dust the moment we approached her).
