As they come through the door give them the wink and the gun and say "Great meeting guys" :)

I know!

That's what we'll do! It's a little thing, but because of EduGeek we now get to do it. Ooooooh, they'll be so confused for about 3 seconds, it'll be brilliant!

I'm not even being sarcastic. This is all it takes to make my day.

Al...when are my goodies being sent as I need to know to arrange someone to be home to accept delivery :-)

Just need to get the official "I want my prize" or "I want the T-shirts" PMs sent and received back so we can organise what is being sent out. We'll give everyone the chance to nominate their delivery address and give them notice on the arrival date too.

I want to do it properly via PM as it's easier to keep track that way - it's too easy to miss stuff when scrolling back through the thread. Keep an eye on your inbox.

Cheers,

Al

Very PC sounds like a cool place to work. Al, are you hiring ;)

Not right at this exact time, no, but we keep growing and getting busier, so you never know!

Hardly anyone ever leaves VeryPC once they start working here, so our staff turnover rate is really low, but the family has had a few new members recently.

Sutherland?!

He works for VeryPC? Holy pause balls, first Morgan Freeman advertises you and now Kiefer Sutherland.

Working for VeryPC must be like hanging around Hollywood.

You know what, I just went on the website to get the address (Colin seemed to think Liverpool to Lincolnshire was "not too far" so I was going to Google Maps it to show Just How Far) and I just noticed that Joss Whedon works for them as well.

Joss Whedon:

(I concede that there may be a clue that I swapped the names round on my captions for the purposes of Humour, if you look closely enough)

I have nothing to add to this. Pure class.

There's also Agent 47 on customer service, apparently.

Agent 47:

"Tom":

"Customer service trouble shooter extraordinaire" suddenly becomes quite a menacing turn of phrase.

I tell you what, there's loads of fun to be had here.

Whaoh! you beat me to it! I've been telling him this for ages - see my post just above.

He should maybe consider a different tie, unless he wants everyone to think he's a brainwashed international assassin. But then I imagine such an impression can come in handy.

Also, clearly, two separate people coming to the same conclusion is proof and he can no longer deny it.

What, in a kind of 'Hotel California' way? :shudder:

By the way, just had a quote for a couple of Broadleaf Ones for the staffroom. Nice! Just need the bursar to sign off the order in the morning and we're good to go. :)

I like this - I get to find out when you want to place an order before our sales team!

You won't regret it.

BTW - I don't think I've missed it, but if anyone noticed @MrLudwig choosing their box number and it escaped my notice please point it out to me. This thread whizzes by so fast I'm becoming concerned that I may miss key details.

I have PMed the winner, but it looks like they've not had a chance to make their selection yet, so we'll crack on with the videos on Monday morning and have an extra prize reveal when appropriate.

See you all tomorrow,

VeryPC is most certainly a cool place to work  However, it's the customers that keep our daily working lives awesome and the job so good. So... Become a customer and keep us awesome? Doesn't sound right.

When did you PM him Al, he was last active at 4:34 PM today:

Earlier than that by a couple of hours. I'm sure he'll turn up before too long, and if not, I have other avenues of attack.

So Colin needed to reset his password and required that it contained at least

1) A Capital

2) 8 Characters

3) At least one number

He chose

1) London

2) Alan, Emma, Colin, Adam, Andy, Simon, Tom & Frenchy

3) Nine

No wonder he kept forgetting his password

Yesterday I was at my local supermarket buying a large bag of Winalot dog food for my loyal pet and was in the checkout queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Winalot Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in hospital last time, but I'd lost 2 stone before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Winalot nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off the kerb to sniff an Irish Setter's backside and a car hit me...
