Office 365 - PA needs to monitor heads email

Hi there,

 

The head wants her PA to monitor her email and so she has asked me to give the PA access to her email.

 

Please can someone let me know what would be the most efficient way of doing this as in the past the previous head just had a rule that forwarded emails to the PA but I'm thinking there must be a slicker way.

 

She needs to see everything apparently so that means inbox, sent items and other folders etc etc.

 

We only access 365 via the web.

Hi,

 

You could just give her Full Access to his mailbox and then she will be able to open it within Outlook Web Access.

 

Use the following PowerShell Command: Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "User1" -User "User2" -AccessRights FullAccess

Not sure about 2013... But delegate access was the way to go for us.

Do what @EduTech says and then they can either click on their name and open another mailbox, or if they just need to view the mail folders and not contacts in the OWA you can right click on their name and Add a Shared folder so that the folder tree for the Head's account is always just available within the single view (-this is how I've gone with my group mailboxes for those users who have them)

If your using office 365 2013 (latest update) you can add the permissions by the UI under admin > exchange select the user > edit > mailbox delegation > add your user there.
