Someone else us tax payers will have to pay for!!

Actually the Cambridges are paid for by Prince Charles from the Duchy of Cornwall income. They don't get money from the state.

Whether or not Prince Charles pays enough tax is a separate issue.

They're a darn sight cheaper than having a President and the extra tourism etc more than covers the cost. Whichever side of the political divide you are on, the thought of President Blair or President Thatcher makes Charles look a welcome prospect;)

ive been watching news 24 all day

I haven't. I have dipped into the BBC website from time to time which is how I found out. Having watched a couple of minutes of live coverage of bu99er all happening at the palace, we are now catching up with some of the backlog recorded on our Sky box :)

Seems the BBC think its worth taking all programs off BBC1 tonight to show pictures of nothing happening outside Buckingham Palace! I wouldn't mind but it's the sae shit they're showing on their 24hr news channel. I was actually looking forward to the scheduled program at 9. And whats scheduled for 10? More news.

Thats 2hrs of "its a boy".

Personally, I just cannot stand the inane way we devote endless amounts of TV time to this sort of non-news event, the bbc used to be decent really, but I can't help but feel its gone superbly downhill in quality over the last ten years now

Me too. I can actually feel my brain cells slowly dying the more I watch of this drivel.

The cover of today's Private Eye magazine sums it all up. What else is there to say?

Mey husband end I, are delighted to announce the arrival of his fourth grandchild at 12:18 a.m. this morning. Welcome to young Henry. Well that's what ours is called, don't know what they are calling the Royal one yet. And yes, I know he's missed the silver commemoration coin by 18 minutes. Still, I expect there'll be one on ebay soon.

I promise not to go on about it for hours... There are no photos, no interviews with strangers in the crowd, no pictures of the outside of the hospital and no Town Crier in silly costumes. No guns firing, no bells ringing, no quotes from Aunties, Grandparents, Great-grandparents. No notices on any easels etc. etc..

Apart from being fairly uninterested in the royal baby, I am really peeved because Monday was MY BIRTHDAY, not some squitty little royal brat's!! :(

The quotes on the BBC 'Have Your Say' are pure comedy gold...

Please....just stop.

New parents leave hospital smiling.

The hospital cost £5,000 per night. The little toddler has had £2,000,000 spent on his new room. Neither will ever change a nappy. A private limo and entourage is waiting for them. All three will be lorded over from this day forth. The comfort the Windsor family enjoys continues to flourish.

No wonder they're smiling.

It's their fairytale, not ours.

My respect for the BBC has hit rock bottom

What a disappointment.

After all the hype I was expecting it to have wings or a halo.

Looks just like every other kid born
