SimpleSi Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 jsut got this message Sorry, we've had to block logins from your network because it was used to break our community guidelines. The people in charge of the network may contact us at [email protected] (case #3571143012) for details. In the mean time, you can still browse the site and create projects you can save locally. Anyone else in CLEO getting it ? This was when I tried to login not just visiting the site Simon
SimpleSi Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Well after a few emails between me and the Scratch team, their attitude is safety first and if some teenager hijacks anothers account and calls someone names then they feel best way is to block their IP and if that means that the whole of CLEO is blocked - so be it They did suggest that I track down the culprits Really, really need the downloadable 2.0 version to get away from all this Simon
Paul_L Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Yep, got the same thing here! Will not let me login, going to be a few upset people within the CLEO network!!
SimpleSi Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 And any other RBC who has a naughty teenager that calls another teenager name s Simon
dezt Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Just found out our teachers are aware of it here, good job we are changing broadband supplier, we manage to get around it.
john Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Use a supplier that gives you your own IP thus when your blocked its your own fault and only your establishment to blame This is a prime example of where using a Proxy is not good as you are all suffering for one silly user somewhere out of thousands of kids
dezt Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 @SimpleSi, pretty much what was mentioned above, we wont be going through the cleo proxy so we won't be punished for some kid at another school.
