mattx Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Although I love the heat, I would not fancy sitting in my back yard [ it's a bit of a heat trap ] - My weather station is currently showing 35.....
sonofsanta Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Everytime I step out our lovely airconned office it's like getting off the plane on holiday - can't remember the last time it felt so humid in this country.

joe90bass Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 ah ha, that's Cumulus you're running isn't it!? When my weather station was up and running I used it, great piece of software - and free! I never found an ideal location for the station when we moved house, it was always reading too high
AJWhite1970 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 According to the 14 day forecast for my area it's not going to be less than 28C until the 26th July. Hopefully the air-con in my server room will continue to keep my Diet Cokes nice and cold.... 1
Hefferzzzz Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Loving it, loving it, loving it. Even if it does make me all sweaty when I put my leathers on. Ice, Cider, Ploughmans and also have my feet in the kids 800 litre paddling pool. Wouldnt trade this for all the sweets in the world.

Hefferzzzz Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 You can adjust the settings if its too high / low etc. Its bad enough with a TV remote in my house let alone a weather remote!

Referring to one of your earlier posts: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA - remember BBQ Summer and all that. What a load of rubbish. This lot get it wrong every year. BBC News - July temperatures due above average, forecasters say Looks like they got July right this year [so far] I saw a report yesterday that said this weather could last well into August [Can't seem to find it now]
Novalee Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 We have glass/plastic (not really sure what it is) clear ceilings along our main corridors - it is like being in a greenhouse when it's like this. (fortunately our office is nice and 'normal' temperature!)

If they keep saying it then it will come true at some point.
Sirbendy Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Just booked the Astra in for an aircon service...first one ever. It hisses and tries, but it really has a bad time. Low gas, I feel. They're even dropping me back to work/picking me up to collect..not bad for £39. Also bought some "Window Socks" for thw back, to screen the kids from this sun. 2 jobs down..still need to get it booked in to check the brakes/wheel bearings and see if I can narrow down this squeaking, and change the dying aux-belt tensioner. I was about to do a cambelt, but it's at 79k..I bought it at 55k, it's had at least 1 new one since then..minimum change interval is 40k/4 years..some say 60k/6 or 80k/8 depending on year. Maybe next year for that. Heh.
