Hi All

I was hoping to implement the room booking feature of this, but my Network Manager has concerns.

Does it export from SIMS automatically? Do we need to be an SQL partner with Capita?

Thanks

Answers: No, you have to manually. Nope, the booking system is not that complex, it's a basic IT booking system.

I guess if the report is defined, SIMS.net can be scheduled to create an updated report every X to keep the booking system updated? Would be really good if it did reflect timetable changes automagically without having to do this though :)

Dont mean to hijack thread but we use roombookingsystem.co.uk works well, integrates with SIMS including all time table changes and notifies person whos made a booking if the time table change clashes with their booking.

I've looked at roombookingsystem, but £!

We have just less than zero budget and would love to have everything in one place that just works :)

I manually export / convert / import the timetabled bookings from SIMS once per year.

All free periods are booked and managed by the Home Access Plus portal.

Not sure what you use at the moment, but a 30 minute job once a year trumps the horrific booking systems we tried to use in the past!

Yep, that can be done, but at the moment it wont show conflicts, I think @Minimo is looking into it though.

You'd need to manually click the import button though, but that's also something we can look into, allowing you to run a batch file or something.

We use the room booking feature and its really good because you have allocate not onlt the rooms from sims (timetable) but you setup resources e.g. let staff book video cams / digi cams and we get notifications

And because we have in the region of over 700 computers including laptops we set the system up so that the science technician gets alerts for when science teachers want the laptops in there lessons

And it stops double booking

And stops alot of hassle

I love it lol

Hi, Has there been any progress with HAP Showing conflicts? I have just had to update the booking system mid term due to room changes and have no idea of any clashes.

Thanks

Not that I know of, my job has expanded at my school so I have less time to work on this, only got home 15 minutes ago, 12 hour day at work (though the last 2 hours were a general end of week chat with AH and HT)
