I agree that i should have been if it was a CP issue. It would have been nice to be told.

 

You were told at 4:53pm when we had confirmed the relevant authorities had been informed and we were confident the thread contained no more references to the problematic site.

We couldnt tell you at 3:05pm because we have no confirmed facts but enough information to cause us to investigate and pull the thread in case. You dont leave the thread open and public while you investigate a CP issue.

@elsiegee40 i am sure you will agree this is an urgent matter to resolve. Edugeek have now removed the resources that will help to address this serious issue. Edugeek was here to help us, all its done by removing it has made things harder.

 

No I don't agree actually. It hasn't been gone weeks. Just a short length of time.

 

So why in post 11 did you say "No I don't agree actually." When i was referring to this google problem? Then you say it is serious?

 

For what it's worth, I think you will find that @elsiegee40 was saying she didn't agree that taking away the post was making things harder to solve. You were already aware of the issue, many of the big players in the filtering business were on the case, as were a lot of the GFLs around the country thanks to the fact this issue was raised on EduGeek.

 

If there were CP concerns with the thread then taking it down is the right thing to do, with or without an explanation. They may simply (as has been pointed out) not had an explanation to give, or be able to say anything about it until fully investigated as they have their own backs to watch too in terms of legal cases being brought against them.

 

I for one think that they operate a brilliant resource, and for one item been taken down for just over an hour is quite impressive to get a resolve.

I did say that it made things harder but i didn't say she would agree. i said she would agree its a serious issue.

Yes, but can you not see there is a simple misunderstanding.. @elsiegee40 was trying to respond to your issues .. you haven't really seemed to be on receive with regards to the responses that have been given, just on strike mode which makes their job as mods and admins all the harder..

 

Fact, you said "Edugeek was here to help us, all its done by removing it has made things harder." which is what she was disagreeing with. Just accept, it was a simply a misunderstanding on which part she didn't agree with. They needed to check something, they couldn't say something at the time, the issue is dealt with, the post is back, people are working on a fix, job done, and all very promptly given the fact @ZeroHour will of had to consult a number of different area and organisations I'm sure!

The removal of the thread, even if it had to be permanent, is not.

I suggest everyone cools down.

Again i wasn't saying she would agree with "Edugeek was here to help us, all its done by removing it has made things harder.". But she replied with "No I don't agree actually". That would lead me to link that up the the statement that i said she would agree on "I am sure you will agree this is an urgent matter to resolve." The word "actually" is the key, it gives the impression that she disagreed with the part i said she would agree on.

 

Anyway it doesn't matter, the wrong end of the stick was found. Probably some part on her's some on mine. It dont really matter.

Thanks to Edugeek ( @ZeroHour )for doing what they need to do for the interests of all. I was busy I didn't even notice this issue so I will deal with this tomorrow.
