Has anyone managed to get video playing over AirPlay with airserver, with our mirroring the screen?

I have installed ffdshow, haali splitter, QuickTime. But no joy, always get the error saying cannot play video via direct show.

Any help please!!

Hi

Did you find a solution for this as one of our computers has randomly started doing the same thing.

Thanks

Thats odd, i use it both in work and at home and it works perfectly, both on Windows 7 machines. I didnt have to install anything special.

Have you contacted their support - they've been very helpful when i had some licensing issues.

They are. For me it is only video recorded on the ipad that will not mirror. Everything else will including the likes of iplayer etc. the videos recorded on the ipad do playback via iMovie though :s

Have had EXACTLY the same issue with only some machines here, all of the recommended things on the airserver site installed, as you also mentioned. Only seems to be when a user has recorded a video with the camera on their iPad, anything else mirrors perfectly fine.. Very very frustrating, i'm stumped!

Out of interest what model iPads and version of IOS does it come up with the problem for you?

Thanks

Have you got multi casting enabled ? Also what wireless system are you using ? I know on Meraki you need to turn on bonjour services

We're using primarily iPad 2's and have had issues on any version of iOS!

Clutching straws here, but have you tried updating your graphics driver on PCs where AirServer is installed?

Same here but what about network card driver, presuming that the firewall solutions ie windows firewall or if you use an AV solution that has an integrated software firewall is allowing the traffic to be sent / received ?

Also are there any updates to the air server software??

The AirServer client is pretty basic to be honest. There's only one official version and a beta version available at the time of writing.

Once Bonjour and DirectX have been installed (as recommended on their website) it should run perfectly. I'd say (from the error) it was most likely a PC/driver problem rather than the wireless infrastructure being the problem. It should work out the box in the majority of configurations.

Have the same problem, only video recorded on the iPad does not play. Installed everything recommended and no joy, even updated drivers and what not. Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

As a side note, we are using iPad 2's. Tested on a single iPad 3 and the issue seemed significantly diminished.

On a related note, don't install the latest AirServer client (it now has a black icon). It just gives a black screen and doesn't mirror correctly. Uninstall and re-install AirServer 1.9.4 (silver icon) and it works correctly!

I don't understand why they keep publishing new client updates so regularly.
