Smoothwall utm

Hi just about got our smoothwall that I took over, about right on policies etc

now Im looking for application aware blocking, am I missing something or does the smoothwall not have this feature ?

I'm not the worlds leading authority on this but I think application control is coming in a future software version. Someone from smoothwall will probably confirm or deny shortly.

If you need it quick sharp.. Palo Alto do application filtering on there flow based firewalls.

There is a shiny new firewall coming later this year which has these shiny things in it @tom_newton can say more but its very shiny!

The very latest update has these features: released yesterday. So new that we have to turn on the full suite of applications manually still

Is this update for UTM's only or will the whole firewall family get it ??
