Lapsafes!!! disposal of and deliveries

Hi ive been bashing my head against a wall here.. and wondered if anyone has any idea of anyone who can help..

 

We have to buy 2 new lapsafes .. the issue i have is they are up two flights of stairs so will prob need a whole rudgy team to get them upstairs, the other issue is i have 2 to dispose off which will need to come back down but for life of me i cant even find a company to actually dispose of them fo me in the first instance yet alone carry them downstairs....

 

does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of possible companies that may help??

Look in the local paper for general labourer for hire?

 

As for disposal you could either take out all the workings, install some shelves and use them as cupboards or get the local scrap merchant to collect them.

I agree - if you can get them to a scrappie they will be worth a few quid

They'll be worth about £1 in scrap.

would it be cheaper to get lapsafe to refurbish your old ones. Some old ones will only take 15 inch laptops and not 15.6 inch but we bought some nice 14 inch toshibas and got chargers changed over.

Sorry cant offer any help on companies but just got the image of you wheeling them to the top of the steps and just letting them go.

When we get copiers delivered, the company have an electric, stair climbing, sack-truck thing. I'd guess that lap-safe will have thought about stairs and may have one too. They may even move the old ones down at the same time if you ask nicely!

 

That said, I'd be looking at refurb too. Had ours converted to charge Dells rather than HP a couple of years back. Not too £scary either.
