Just want to make sure we haven't missed anyone out of the sweetie distribution.

I PMed all the successful Easter egg hunters a confirmation back when you spotted it. If anyone thinks they may have been missed, now is your chance.

Just PM me with the subject "Sweeties" or "Veggie Sweeties", the name of your school and delivery address and we'll send you out some sweeties.

We'll keep this chance open until midnight on Sunday 9th June 2013, so let us know now.

We don't want the vegetarians to be left out, so anyone in this thread who has expressed a preference for veggie or gelatin free sweets will get the veggie sweetie option. That's you @siuko @Netman @witch

Not to encourage fraud or anything, but there will be no audit of your success with finding the hidden placeholder page, so I now leave the decision with your consciences...

Only one package per applicant though.

Cheers folks,

Al

YAY! Got my Haribo!

And some Veggie Percy [FOR SCIENCE!]

Thanks Very PC nom nom nom

Thanks @VeryPC. Om nom nom !!!

They arrived this morning! YEEHAA:) Thanks Very-pc :)

My grateful thanks for the vegan version - nice work Al...

You are all most welcome! Glad they arrived safely.

Are they nice ? Save me one! :)

You really should check your pigeon hole again @witch

FYI veggies - some of you got M&S Veggie Percy and others got a Holland and Barratt gummy product I'd already found before Veggie Percy reared his pink head, so comparative experiences may vary.

@Netman I can't remember the name of the H+B sweets we sent - can you enlighten me please?

All the best folks,

Al

They were Vegebears organic fruit jellies. Better choice than Veggie Percy which are covered in Beeswax and so not vegan. Awesome choice and were much enjoyed... thanks again...

@VeryPC - do you sell those chocolate pizzas ? If so how much ?

I believe the EduGeek don for those badboys is @Millgate

I think they tend to be prizes rather than for sale, but he's definitely the man to ask.

Don't get hooked. It's a slippery slope.

Beeswax? Really? Surely you kid sir?

Do they really use beeswax in gummy sweet making?

They use bits of animals. Why is beeswax so surprising?

Small amounts of beeswax have food and flavoring applications, and are edible in the sense of having similar toxicity to undigestable plant waxes. However, the wax monoesters in beeswax are poorly hydrolysed in the guts of humans and mammals, and are therefore of no significant food value

Do they really use beeswax in gummy sweet making?

"Ingredients: Glucose syrup, sugar, fruit juice from concentrate (3%), citric acid, gelling agent: pectin, hydrolysed pea protein, fruit and vegetable concentrates (grape, blackcurrant, elderberry, apple, safflower), flavourings (strawberry, cherry, raspberry and grape), glazing agent: beeswax."

Makes 'em look pretty though eh?!

Still better than the other Percy Pigs which have real pig in them!

The pigs made me laugh.

Vegetarian sweets, looks like an animal.

It's not when I really consider it, but I think the sources of stuff we use every day are pretty fascinating - especially in today's world when so many of us are so far separated from that end of the production process.

Indeed. Carmine [a food coloring] is made from crushed bugs. [Ok, that's ONE source of it.]
