davida50000 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I was wondering if anyone knew of any simple easy software that is free of all the 'bloatware' that has integration for active directory or LDAP, and most importantly, has a method for setting up single sign on. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Thanks in advance!
zag Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Check my signiture, someone modified my helpdesk for SSO. I don't use that feature personally, Just log by name.
Jawloms Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 SpiceWorks? Admins/Techs can't use the SSO, but I believe the users can? We don't here as we only log tickets via email.

You need to ensure your domain appears in the Domains section under Admin. Make sure it has any affixes such as .local. then that domain name MUST match the domain name you give here. I am happy to show you the working settings from our working 'desk when I am on site on Monday. Matt
ALR Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 We use WebHelpDesk, the most important feature for us was end user ease of use, and this helpdesk is VERY easy to use but powerful at the same time. Help Desk Software by Web Help Desk Cheers, Al

ALR Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Before WHD was sold to SolarWinds, you could use the "lite" version (for one techie) for free. If you had more than one member of IT Support staff then you had to purchase additional licences. SolarWinds bought it really recently and changed the format of the licences, so no more freebies...
dnavekar Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 It's a free thing using a "lite" version.. I've been running it for over a year now.
cpjitservices Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 We use OSTickets here - it can be integrated with LDAP / AD if you want. We havent currently got it setup like that though we just use email registration anyway. osTicket:: Open Source Support Ticket System
