Companies who provide websites

We've just started with Interactive Schools. Literally at the first stage after appointing them so can't say much more than they did a very good pitch with a good price.

I'm no fan of Schools-Online, the website building and publishing solution designed specifically for education - go to one of their example sites and look at the urls in the links (all hidden behind the tld) for a taste of what fun their cms is.

 

Having said that, we self host joomla which has caused a few colourful expletives.

 

No recommendations, sorry!

I like the work of Absolute Media (Web Design Manchester | Website Design, Branding & Marketing Agency | Absolute Media UK) and I know @Soulfish has been working with them for a new site for his academy so maybe worth talking to them. They have re-done the website for a school I used to work at and I really like the work they have done and I know they are very pleased with it. There site is in the portfolio part of the Absolute site

This company spoke to me at Bett and it looks really easy to setup and update but they do seem

reluctant to tell me how much it will cost without coming to see me, have a look yourselft and see what you think;

In a time long, long ago we used E4Education and they did a good job. This was before they had a CMS solution which is why we brought it all in-house.
