Ordered a Nexus 4 from Google last night. It arrived at 10am this morning!

Ordered micro-SIM cutter at the same time from Amazon. That has still not been dispatched.

ZeroHour informed me that my mobile provider (Virgin) will provide a free micro-SIM with number transferred on request.

Phoned Virgin and they are processing the order (free). I should have it within 5 working days.

Cancelled the SIM cutter order.

Now I have a shiny new Nexus 4 but no way of using it yet!

Now then...Shaun did mention I could take some scissors to the old SIM

Yes I am actually. It's a really good phone, especially for the price and it's going in the car as a sat-nav and music center and probably to festivals and the like as well.

Cut my Mums normal sim down to mini-sim size when she got a Nexus 4 for Christmas. Easy to do and plenty of guides online if you can't wait for the virgin sim to turn up :)

I can't believe your resisting the cut! You can print a template and everything online. I did it when I got my Nexus 4 last week, brilliant phone btw, just make sure your careful what you put it down on if you don't have a cover on the back. I left mine on a toughdrive which has a rubber back came back into the office and it magically slid off! I thought someone had been playing with it until I saw it do it itself again lol

Wish I had got the Nexus 4 as im a big fan of google, I can't say I would have the bravery to hack my own sim card, knowing my sausage fingers and awesome manual dexterity, I know I would be the one to rip the chip off the card.

This did make me chuckle when you told me about it yesterday.

If you want to find the true definition of frustration then just ask John here about the problems he's had with his shiny new Nokia windows 8 phone!

I meant John Graham of ICT Direct infamy. Not John Smith of Edugeek myth.

Sorry for the confusion. :p

Oi the pair of you :D I have had my lovely HTC Pro 7 for a couple of years now it was at BETT last year and this year and maybe BETT 2014 as well as no-one has done me a real keyboard yet I will be with this one for a while as On-Screen keyboards are just not for me yet :( As for this phones predecessor the HTC Touch Pro that came from ICT Direct ironically :D

As for John Grahams Nokia issues I've given over calling him on the mobile the office is easier and means you may even get the joy of speaking to me Dave :p

It's the works number SIM, so I really can't chance it. The new one should be waiting for me when I get home tonight.
