Office is free under the Office365 setup you can do, but this webshop we have under EES I believe allows this :- £6.15 for a copy of 8.1 Pro Similar price for Office 2013 full installation too

pcstru Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 If you are a secondary on EES you may be eligible for a Dreamspark subscription. That gives staff and students access to all sorts of stuff, from office and client windows OS's to Visual Studio and server OS's.

AFAIK you have to pay for the premium subscription, only the standard is free with OVS. Yes it was a shop setup on Kivuto for our schools behalf, I didnt set up the subscription or webshop side of it, that was handled by @garethedmondson who handles all of our EES licensing with MS, I will state now that I am not sure if it had costs attached to it or not to set it up, you can PM him on here to ask him about it if needs be, I was just under the impression it was something we could ask for setup as part of being an EES Subscriber with MS - though I could be wrong on that aspect of it and will say now that I am 100% not sure about the setup of it. Just from my point of view it offers staff some excellent educational discounts on a massive range of software - Nero, Corel Corporation, MS and VMWare products feature on our website with varying discounts. The office options are for both the windows versions of 2013 Pro Plus and Office 2011 for the Mac. Edit: When its setup you can basically only buy off the site using a school email address as its point of verification and when I have helped staff with it so far, it has been exceptionally smooth and plain-sailing making purchases off there. garethEds Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Evening all - just saw @rich_tech mentioned me. I'll be absolutely honest - I cannot remember what I did. I'm almost sure it was there as part of our original School Agreement 3 package with the various companies we went through. We are now EES through SoftCat (who have been brilliant). I very much doubt we will use it much more because we now have the Office 365 free stuff for pupils and faculty members. Not many of the staff in my school ask me for Windows 8.1 download links. Pupils do but not staff. GJE

Once checked asked me to send our logo and then set up our Web store for us. All very straightforward. Windows 8.1 (work at home) and Office 2013 (work at home) available for £6.15 each.
rich_tech Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) Congratulations, its worth it definitely if you can set it up, as it offers a good host of software, Mac and Windows stuff too with Office and VMWare stuff. Only thing, make sure to tell staff to print off their licence keys and installation files, after an initial period it costs a bit more (Think its around £12 possibly more for a years access to their keys and download files for the installers) Edited January 9, 2015 by rich_tech
