Reception staff and guest signing in software?

Hi,

 

Just been asked to see if we can get a electronic system for staff and guests to sign in at reception.

 

Im thinking of it being installed onto a windows tablet or similar?

 

Have done a google search but cant seem to find any results. It must have a name im not searching for.

 

Any one had any experience with on or know of any?

Was thinking about building a PHP one and hiding it on the website but don't think I could create one with features such as barcode scanning for auto sign in etc.

Barcodes are a lot easier than they look - to produce them you just need the right font (in theory) and to scan them, hand held USB barcode scanners present themselves to the PC as a keyboard, so anywhere you can type, you can scan a barcode.
