The explosions occurred near the finish line of the marathon. Currently reporting 2 dead and 23 injured. The authorities expect these figures to rise.

How does blowing innocent civilians up make sense at all? Because it engenders fear and panic, which is what they want, and also hits the country by affecting tourism.

In my hotel last night I was talking for hours with runners, friends and family who were there. The Mobile network we shut for a while and flights out grounded...

Maybe the work of one or 2 "nutjobs" but speculation aside I hope they find whoever is responsible and punish them in whatever way they can.
