Just started looking at MS Teams for Governors meeting using the school Office 365 accounts we have. I've learnt there is the desktop install (Windows/MacOS), web browser install and mobile version (Android/iOS). Working out functional differences, I've found, is tricky! I think mobile app did not support voice/video conference calls in the past, but I believe it does now. We'll find out next week when we all try to virtual meet.

Only reason it doesn't install here is it'd need an exception in the SRPs, Applocker and .exe downloads are restricted by FSRM. If you want to allow them, it's easy enough to open up and vice versa - as it runs from their AppData.

It's installing per user, not per machine. Like the previous Skype For Business msi did, horrible as it can't be deployed per machine. I've just told everyone to click Web version.

Ya but you've gotta have applocker policies in place to stop them from just installing the desktop app - Else it screams at them constantly to install the desktop app for the best experience..

I enabled super restrictive SRP stuff years ago when ransomware was starting.

The MSI installer is a joke, it installs an installer, and uninstalling it doesn't work, they provide a clean up script. Microsoft hates Microsoft

Can't see any reason to install it, the web client has service workers for notifications anyway

Screen sharing only works with the client version
