    Folder Redirection has stopped working

Great, come back after a couple of days off and Windows 7 has self-destructed.

All staff and students fail to get their redirected desktop and start menu, with loads of errors in the event viewer like this:

Failed to apply policy and redirect folder "Desktop" to "\\server\desks$\staff\desktop".
    Redirection options=0x9008.
The following error occurred: "Failed to build the list of known sub folders".
Error details: "The system cannot find the file specified.

I did read that KB980408 can cause this, but its not installed!

Help! I've got loads of PCs playing up now!

Everything working as normal - apart from the Windows 7 folder redirection! XP clients are all fine.

Run this at startup as your folder desciptions is messed up. This also happened to me and is caused by an update.

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions\{2112AB0A-C86A-4ffe-A368-0DE96E47012E}]

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions\{2112AB0A-C86A-4ffe-A368-0DE96E47012E}\PropertyBag]

Hmm this one just caught me out as well. The reg file seems to have fixed it for me.

Did you every find out what the cause of this is?
