Hi everyone, I need help how to configure PacketFence (PF) with Cisco Switch 2960 and an AP in order to control Wireless 802.1x users... Now am stuck when configuration.. The switch not-connected / not-communicated with PF. as well as the AP.. I am newbie with PF.. I have followed the instructions given on PF website (Adminsitration & Network Devices Guidelines), but still cant full functioning.. Either using snmp-server version 1/2c for the snmp trap and else.. Either using 802.1x with MAB (Multihost) or 802.1x with MAB (Multidomain)... I just have no idea about that for now.. Anyone have experienced about configuration with PF?? Thanks in advance

I've know of it for years but didn't feel I needed it. of course now that a drive on my SAN failed and the email alert failed I wished I'd spent the time setting one up. I assume I need some software (suggestions please) I'll need to set the devices (san, printers, switches) to use the server as the trap? Do I need something called MIB modules in order to use SNMP? Ideally I'd like the server software to email me on all warning and critical events...

I'm currently doing some testing that requires me to send SNMP traps to a central console, and as such I have got W7, Windows XP and various switches and network devices all singing away nicely. All but the office Mac (Snow Leopard). I've been doing some digging, but end up going around in circles as to how I can get SNMP working on it and whilst the Apple support site says I can use OT/SNMP (available from the download centre) when I get there I can't find it. Is there anyone using SNMP on Macs who can help here?

I have been unable to find what the HP UPD uses to communicate with printers on their status. During a recent print server change over I took the opportunity to tidy up, standardise and lock down printer configs but one change seems to have stopped the driver from talking to select printers (P2055dn, 3015). Older printers such as the P2015dn are still fine. Differences include the use of SNMPv3 instead of SNMP, https instead of http, protocols locked down and so on. Before I start undoing a lot of changes I was hoping someone may already know the answer so I can quickly rectify? Thanks.

I would like a web-based printer monitor. Looks like SNMP is the best method to use, but I've not used it before. Most of our printers are HP, but we have a few Dell's and some photocopiers. Anyone know of any good guides for SNMP noobs? Any good resources for help programming my own monitor? (PHP/Perl preferrable). Thanks.
