As some of your in primary may have come across this I thought I'd ask if anyone can recommend a webstore type app that would be kid friendly for junior age kids. For context I have a very creative daughter who wants to start "selling" her craft designs and she has a few friends who are similarly interested so, as I have a dedicated server and plenty of space I've been voluntold to get a space setup for her/them. Educationally it'd be a good experience for them all to see what's involved in ecommerce without the actual payments side of things so while my experience is in using complex webstore systems I'm aware that there may be something more suited to her age group but with scope to develop further. Ideally I'm looking for something that provides a web backend, is easy to managed so that the kids can upload and edit product listings (possibly with a more complex/advanced section that I can manage) and manage "orders". There's no intention to provide an online payment option but more a case of showcasing the kids work/products and allow friends/family to indicate interest, etc... and pay offline as needed. If anyone has any ideas or is aware of what is out there for this sort of project then please let me know. I'd like to avoid WordPress if I can. Thanks in advance...

Hello! It's been ages since I posted here. Just wondering what others do when dealing with Password policy for junior age kids? We run a Windows 2012 AD with Google Apps (not yet linked together) and all students from year 2 up to year 6 have their own username j.bloggs and password which is basically very easy for anyone to guess. There is no possibility (that I know of!) of access from outside, but if a child were to use another child's account, then they could deliete al ltheir work and it would be difficult to track. One solution would be to give all the kids a unique and complex password and spend a lot of time helping them to memorize this. We use Scratch 2.0 online and other web based cloud type services and all require complex passwords. Even given that one should really use a different password for each service, one complex password that's been memorised is better than several weak ones??? How do other admins from junior schools manage passwords? Thanks anticipation for any opinions or advice! Ray

Hi Folks, Quick heads-up on this one for you - not likely to be interesting to most of you professionally, but I hope some of you Yorkshire folk might have friends who would fir the bill - ideal part time work for someone with a family, for example. SmoothWall | News » Company Edit: We're also still well in the hunt for a blocklist person, so if you love stopping kids getting on proxies etc. please get in touch - interesting and reasonably well paid work abounds
