Hi folks recently I have been looking at Content management connected to learning Environments. This appears to be more of a topic for FE/HE but could also be of interest to schools. If anyone intends to attend please PM me and I'll see you there. You will also have to register. There are some free seminars ( and lunch), hosted by Coventry University and Royal Holloway. The seminars will showcase the benefits of implementing a Learning Content Management System to effectively manage a range of institutional content including VLE materials, research papers and scanned content conforming to the Copyright Licensing Act. The Coventry event will take place on Tuesday March 24th. The event will be hosted by Coventry University's CURVE team ( Curve » Welcome to CURVE ) CURVE's aim is to provide easy discoverability, management and access to a wide variety of digital assets including learning objects, important archive material and research outputs. Dr. Andy Syson of Coventry University will share his experiences. The London event will take place on Thursday April 2nd, hosted by Royal Holloway's research repository project team. Royal Holloway are currently implementing EQUELLA, with the objective of managing their research and copyright materials. Alison Pope will be sharing her experiences. Both seminars will also include sessions on: * Overall trends in Learning Content Management Systems * Migration of Learning Content from one VLE to another (including VLEs such as Blackboard, Moodle, Sakai and Studywiz) * Use of one LCMS system with multiple VLEs - valuable in regional partnerships * CLA (Copyright Licensing Act) issues for Libraries when photocopying or scanning * Unlocking research outcomes The program for both days will run from 9:30AM to 12:30PM, followed by lunch. If you are planning to attend either of these seminars and learn all about what EQUELLA can mean for your Research department, Library or Virtual Learning project, please let us know by completing the relevant registration form below: Coventry University Seminar: Sign up for Coventry, March 24 https://crm.orionondemand.com/crm/forms/zG0A75C6700kx6700lxF Royal Holloway Seminar: Sign up for London, April 2 Once you have registered an interest, we will send you further information regarding the seminar agenda and location.
