  1. We have a mix between Chromebooks and iPads (managed by Jamf). We have found iPads are best in KS1 and Chromebooks in KS2, so far we have seen some great benefits.
  2. We are looking for a 3rd party that can integrate with Scholarpack to pull attendance data and send automated texts/emails to parents in line with DfE recommendations. What are people currently using? Thanks!
  3. You shouldn't need a new license, it should be included in your OVS
  4. We use Zoho Manage Engine Service Desk Plus - some great features and reporting available.
  5. Scratch - Great software just be wary of the content that has been uploaded to the site. Unfortunately you do come across some unsuitable content. code.org - great free resource, been a while since i've used it but always got kids interested due to the minecraft features.
  6. Great analogy. Unfortunately I can't see things improving any time soon when the cost of services etc. are rising as quickly as they are.
  7. Ultimately for a Help Desk to work you need buy in from school leaders. Show them the benefits and tie this into an SLA document. Holds you to account as well as helping you prioritise workload. Unfortunately without leaders insisting teachers and support staff are to use the help desk you are fighting a losing battle. We have a saying No Ticket - No Job. Hope you manage to get this off the ground as it's vital to any IT team.
