Surface Pro 7+ freezing after writing on it for X amount of time
WannabrewUK replied to Xindigoh's topic in Windows 10
Have you been able to recreate the issue yourselves, or is it only when that member of staff is using it that the issue occurs? Have you tried swapping it with another user and seeing if they have the same problem? -
We've not seen the issue in months, just started to see it again today.

ClassCharts - breach or not?
WannabrewUK replied to notalot's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
We were never contacted by classcharts about this, they never reported anything to us. We contacted them and their reply was:- "We can tell you that the impact was very limited and related to a product update which was swiftly removed. The vast majority of schools were not impacted. However, I’m sorry to say that we do have a small group of schools which we cannot completely discount and your school may have been part of it. There is a possibility that some limited data could have been incorrectly displayed during the period on Monday before being quickly reversed. We are sorry that we are unable to provide further detail around this." We are unable to investigate what happened or assess the implications, Classcharts is a closed box we can't look in and they can't (or won't) provide any details to us. -
Schoolsbroadband VPN
WannabrewUK replied to Alastairb25's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Does anybody know if most of SBB are off for half term? It does feel like it. I reported the FortiGate Vulnerability over 48 Hours ago, firstly by phone, but was told to open a ticket on the Hub. We've had absolutely no communication back. -
Schools Broadband Issues
WannabrewUK replied to Kollektiv26's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
We had the NCSC early warning system alert us to this, looks like the fortigate we're connected to is vulnerable. I opened a Ticket with SBB this morning, but not heard anything back as yet. Not seen anything relating to it on the portal either. -
Ours has come back up too. Check your filtering groups and settings are all correct, our filtering groups seem to be missing.

Anybody having issues with Netsweeper today? we can get to the logon page and put the details in, but then nothing. Seemed to start yesterday afternoon.

Could I get a copy too? Its something that's appeared on radar recently. -
That's odd, our DPO was told the opposite. Have you got a copy of the email that you could share? Thanks

ClassCharts - breach or not?
WannabrewUK replied to notalot's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Has anybody actually reported them to the ICO? -
Is it just me, or have their support department stopped responding to all support requests? I contacted them on Tuesday morning about performance issues and they still haven't responded. I've sent an email every morning asking for an update and have hand nothing at all.

Can't see it now. I was having a look yesterday and it said it had last been updated on 22nd January 2024. Looks like their privacy policy may have changed too. https://www.tes.com/en-gb/terms-conditions/privacy-policy

Looks like they changed their terms of service yesterday and then once again today, wonder if that is just a coincidence. https://www.tes.com/en-gb/policies/general-terms-business

Classcharts seems to be painfully slow for us this morning? Anybody else seeing this?

Classcharts have told me it was resolved around 11.10 this morning, but they don't know the full impact of who was affected. They said they'll be putting out a statement once they know what happened and to who.

SchoolCloud /Roombooking have an outage in case this helps anyone
WannabrewUK replied to robintech's topic in Cloud Services
Yes, we appear to have the same issue. The only reason I checked was your post, so far our staff haven't reported anything. -
Prevent kids removing/rearranging keyboard keys
WannabrewUK replied to athomashayter's topic in How do you do....it?
Hope that works for you, we've had departmental trolleys for years and departments are expected to look after them, but it doesn't work here. Once it starts effecting teaching and learning they get a brand new set. -
Netsweeper - not accepting changes
WannabrewUK replied to ITGuyNW's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
We use Schools broadband and saw very similar behaviour back in October. SBB said they were working with Netsweeper, who identified a bug and a fix was applied. Maybe its the same issue. -
I know it's early doors, but I've not had it happen once so far today. I've probably just Jinxed myself by saying the issue appears to have been resolved for us. Anybody else seeing the same?
