  1. Looks great, now for a dark mode before my eyes give out 😂
  2. I've not seen this personally with 24H2
  3. Yes we just rip from iPlayer or YouTube usually. We also have a piece of software that can capture DVD's or Blurays. Very rare staff ask for anything else than those. Obviously we block any "broadcasting" of the videos outside of our network as well. We do pay for a small Vimeo sub for anything that needs to be public facing such as messages to parents etc.
  4. We just moved away from Planet Estream. They got taken over by some American company and didn't have any of the same staff that I could see who used to be great. Its a nice system but in my opinion legacy now that SharePoint can host video for free very easily. We migrated all our resources to SharePoint Stream using the direct download link content options. Some lacked a little quality but nothing too bad. I don't personally see the point in paying for video hosting these days. EDIT: Just to say Stream has some pretty cool AI features such as auto generation of subtitles and other cool stuff like chapters now. Its quite good actually.
  5. Always find these interesting as the general consensus on the forum is always we are not paid enough, but actually when you see the results generally they are surprisingly high. Will have to see how it goes.
  6. Good luck, I've done a few of these Vbulletin moves over the years and its easier to start as vanilla as possible, then build up from there over time. Maintaining the SEO links is the most important usually. Users resetting their passwords is also a good idea on the security front and is a nice way to engage with older users again with a notification.
  7. If you have a smoothwall you can disable connecting any connection if its just the IP without a domain name record (common for VPNs). This should in theory block all VPN's but may have some more adverse effects on other things.
  8. No. TDM chip support and the CPU generation are separate things. Both have minimum requirements. We have TPM on all machines here except 2, its the CPU requirement which has become the issue.
  9. Now if only I had read this properly. Congrats on spotting the issue, you were right!
  10. Just had a great experience for my issue with Smoothwall tech support! No AI chatbots, no call queues, just quick knowledgeable email direct support. 1st line noticed an issue with our SSL certificate and advised a fix, spoke good English and was clear that my original Radius accounting enquiry needed to go to 2nd line which he did quickly. 2nd line support responded within 20mins to it being escalated. Noticed the issue right away and suggested a fix on our Unify setup. Call was resolved within 24hrs. Please pass on my thanks to Chris and Matthew at smoothwall support. A breath of fresh air!
  11. Got it working finally using the correct port for radius accounting and adding to the Smoothwall firewall. You can check in Smoothwall by going to Security >> User Activity The IP's should now match a username if its working.
  12. Big thanks for all your help with this one guys. It was actually staring at me right in the face after smoothwall 2nd line support noticed the packets were arriving on port 1812 rather than 1813. Its literally in the screenshot I posted although I think I was thrown off because Unify shows 1813 in the entry form but it was set to 1812. I simply changed the radius accounting port to 1813 in our unify setup and its all working perfectly now. Simple as that! We can now finally report safeguarding concerns for our BYOD network. A huge leap forward!
  13. As above I don't think this is correct. I've just tried to install on a 7th generation PC and Windows 11 installer clearly blocks it.
  14. I see Windows 11 is now not possible to be installed on less than an 8th generation Intel CPU. This basically discounts 20% of our computers in school from upgrades and obviously with the 14th Oct 2025 Windows 10 'End of Life' fast approaching I am looking for solutions to be able to keep our Cyber Essentials certification! How are people getting round this? Are you buying New PC's? Somehow hacking the upgrades? Or hoping Microsoft delays the windows 10 EOL? I'm quite surprised how aggressive Microsoft have been with this and why it hasn't kicked up more fuss? Our results and we are by no means a low technology school or late adopter:
  15. The BYOD users are using the transparent proxy currently. Looks like I need to change our entire radius setup then! ouch
  16. Found out how to do it in PDQ. Shame its not in built but it works
  17. Has anyone used a script or app to check the all devices on the network for Windows 11 minimum requirements? I can do individual PC's with the standard healthcheck app but need a full report. I've managed to check for TPM compatibility with PDQ inventory custom script, but i've just noticed their is a CPU requirement as well! How are you guys scanning your network before Windows 11 rollouts?
  18. Yeh they authenticate with the NPS server and we set a rule that only certain AD groups (6th form and staff in this case) can connect to our BYOD Wi-Fi. Problem is when the BYOD users show up in smoothwall reports, its just an IP address which is pretty useless for safeguarding stuff.
  19. Yeh sorry for being slow here, but our BYOD network is all setup and working great using a windows NPS radius server for authentication. All I want to do is show the usernames in the smoothwall reports instead of the the IP addresses and I was told that radius accounting was the way to go with this. Is that not the case?
  20. Has anyone done this with Unify?
  21. I've just submitted this to smoothwall support, but wondered if anyone else has done this here? I'm trying to show usernames on our smoothwall safegaurding reports. Currently domain users show fine on reports but our BYOD users just show as an IP address. I've setup both Radius authentication and accounting our the Unify BYOD Wi-Fi side as so: so .10 is our radius server and .6 is our smoothwall server. But I don't know what to do on the Smoothwall side. Anyone done this before?
  22. We looked into https://www.roombookingsystem.co.uk/ which used to be awesome and was well liked in school but they don't support Wonde sadly due to some weird limitation on the timetable. Basically they said it wasn't Bromcoms fault, it was Wonde not allowing the data. Saying that roombookingsystem was taken over by TES and I believe the excellent support they had is now rubbish. So that's a shame. For now we are sticking with Bromcom's feature as it seems they are finally waking up and looking into development of it.
  23. Filled in but didn't see anything on room bookings which is a huge area that needs improvement.
  24. Great, I'm going to sign up now. Had a demo of Arbor last week and their AI features were very impressive. The one time I used the Bromcom "AI" that was so hyped at Bett a few years ago it was simply a chatgtp embed as far as I could tell. Basically it was extremely disappointing. Hopefully you've improved it now so that its school data aware? I know arbor could book a room with the chatbot and do simple analysis on school data. This is really what AI should be about.
  25. Isn't it just part of windows update? We just set it to update automatically.
