  1. well it lets me do it
  2. "Time's up! You're as big and clever as Gordon Ramsay trying to work out his tax bill." Got 20
  3. well if anyone wants to chip in to get a TS&Website going, donation block is up on the site listed. Tamriel Mining Corporation
  4. @L3OUGH if you think governments should just "flip the switch" for giggles, you belong in a mental institution. Mass riots, panicking and deaths alone would get the person the death penalty or life imprisonment alone!
  5. Sorry no dice...Xperia as its fully waterproof...lol
  6. Yeh I could well imagine that happening. lol
  7. In a survival type situation, you need any protein you can. Hamster, Rat, Mouse, Snake, Lemming, as long as there weren't flies on the meat, and it was cooked very thoroughly, it would be fine.
  8. Wow.. @AngryTechnician is bang on here. This isn't a straightforward thing. (S)He was lazy.
  9. to be fair, for game to hunt you are better off near streams, rivers and lakes, as that is where they'll likely congregate for drinking. As for types of game, well within 5 miles of my house, we have muntjac deer, red deer, roe deer, and fallow deer. Also have pheasant, guinea fowl, partridge, wild pigeon, ducks, geese...so not bad for animals for hunting.
  10. I shall straight up apologise, the article I read stated 15 million handsets, and being tired, I some how read it as 15 Percent of handsets. So my bad, the remainder of my posts however stand.
  11. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGhP3p6lI3U
  12. OK, might not be scuba diving with a phone, but I can work my phone in the bath without a problem, or in the shower, or when we go to a lake I dont have to worry about running in and my phone not getting wet if it is in my pocket, or being thrown into a swimming pool I dont have to worry about my phone stopping working...Also, qualified diver here as well and I agree, I wouldn't take it with me on a scuba dive. As I am currently on my phone right now about to head into a meeting, I can't grab the sources and put them on the post, when done in the meeting, I shall do so for you and PM it over. Also, seems every post you make regarding Apple products (not just iPhones, but Macs, Macbooks, iTunes etc) you can't help but state how awesome they are and nothing compares. Soon as someone posts contrary, you are up in arms. Fanboyism at its best. To prevent this turning into yet ANOTHER thread where YOU have instigated a flame war, I shall recommend this thread be closed.
  13. My daughter, to get her to eat any food, ketchup has to be present on the plate. She will try with ketchup first as that is the "safe" sauce for her, if she likes it with ketchup, she will try without. Unfortunately she has been a fussy eater from the moment we introduced to solid foods. However, I will always try food before adding salt, pepper, or condiments, and usually, I will have the condiment sauces on a separate plate or small ramekin dish.
  14. There is definitely a market for it. You could always advertise it in a friday freead paper, and then go from there. Do a few good jobs, ask for recommendations, start a website, make sure you state its for local people, as you get more work, enjoy the money that comes in. Definitely not a niche market, but priced right, you could definitely dominate the market in your area.
  15. Why go for the slower SSD for the boot drive? Get a Pro over Evo for a boot drive. As for GFX cards, 770GTX is a solid card and in SLI would be future proofed for quite a long while (easily 5-7 years), 690 is great, if you want to drop nearly a grand on a single card!
  16. Yes you would be unlucky in that scenario, but that would be a World War 3 type of scenario where Tsar Bombs and H Bombs were used.
  17. Not sure you can count a 15% global share of the market as "zip". In Europe its significantly higher (around 25%), so your argument that a windows phone isn't a competitor is void. And yes I was on about TUAW. They only publish articles that favour apple. As for the source of the material, in every "test" where the iPhone is there, it invariably gets put in conditions that favour it. Let's take underwater photos...I guarantee the Sony Xperia Z1 will come out on top...oh wait, that's because it's a waterproof phone and the iPhone would die within seconds...
  18. So a blog that primarily deals with apple products has an apple product win the day...seems legit
  19. Too bad, it will be in the harshest part of the highlands during the middle of winter!
  20. True the scouts do not teach survival training as such, but they do teach skills which would be helpful, knots, fires, shelters etc. It gives a solid foundation to build on.
  21. I am sure its not just me. Attachments are not opening, they're coming up as invalid. Tried on Chrome, FF and IE. Others have noticed it also.
  22. So I guess you dont like the scouts or beavers groups? lol My daughter has expressed an interest in joining the local Scouts group, which I think would be great for her. She actively wants to go picking for berries, apples and such like, as well as learning how to make fires and such like, I see scouts and survival courses as a continuation of that
  23. Well moving back, how many would now consider survival skills schools such as those run by the military?
  24. @Garacesh believe me when I say it is much better than it was before, by a large margin. Race perks were OverPowered (OP), bows were OP if you were sneaking, and levelling was shot to pieces (aside from 1 weekend where they auto levelled everyone to level 50, you could play for 10-15 hours and hit the top level). I say drop the £30, buy the game, if you dont like it after the first month, sell the account (not that I officially condone this)
