I'd go for a new one. They're likely to be a bit more energy efficient too since the standards came in, and with it being not much more than the part you need, why buy the part when you can get a whole new one?

Can you get 4th Gen with SSD at all? We went 4th Gen i5 and swapped out HDDs for SSDs, and its made a massive performance change.

The original Doom only allowed for a Pistol + 1 heavy weapon. So yeah its feasible, its just the dynamics and weights of the gun. The BFG for example was a monster and that took around 10 shots to wipe out the final boss (if I remember rightly)....

Not to mention that Alcohol doesn't harbour any bacteria that is inherently harmful...
