I have worked with pretty much every Touchscreen manufacturer there is as each school is different and has different requirements and needs from their touchscreens. Bar maybe one or two products it is a really solid market and can't really go much wrong with whatever you choose and that does include Viewsonic. It's a strong product, well priced with a good warranty.

Right now there is nobody anywhere near as competitive as what Viewsonic are with their screens. I was a bit sceptical at first but I have started to use them in my schools and I have had no problems whatsoever. If you are just wanting a screen with Android OS and don't need any extra software then Viewsonic should take some serious consideration. Built in WiFi 5yr Warranty.

Every situation is different. Each school I work with have unique circumstances and requirements and each involves a bespoke solution to them. All I can say is that since touchscreens dropped in price early last year my projector work has practically vanished when it comes to an area 70" or less. It's become no contest - touchscreens every time. For larger area's though I would say projectors are still the way to go. How long that lasts is dependant on the price of screens but eventually it will come to pass that screens start taking over this part of the market too. People forget projectors have been around for decades and it's old technology. They were always going to be replaced by an alternative at some point.

Anytime I thought as much - Viewsonic's pricing is very aggressive to gets themselves a foothold in the market.

Just by coincidence I have had a demo of the Viewsonic done for me today. It looks to be a very similar product to the Iiyama and Benq and from what I can gather it's pricing is favourable over the others. Personally I have an extensive history of using the Iiyama and Benq screens before and I know them to be well built and reliable, so if I had to buy one right now my preference would be to lean towards them.

The first questions that I always ask are what software are you currently using and do you wish to keep using it? Then you can start narrowing down which screens are going to be more applicable to you.

I agree that the FA is inconsistent. Betting companies are all over football in so many different ways and it's not right. However, the rules are the rules and besides footballers earn so much money it makes you wonder why they feel the need to bet to try win more of it.

Did anybody else play this on here? Easily the best game I have played since GTA V came out. Just magnificent (I admit some of the side missions were predictable) and I'm a teeny weeny bit sad that I've now finished it. Here's hoping for a DLC.

None that I have used myself but I don't work for a school, I work with them. I'm happy to ask those that do use them for their experiences and let you know?

In all the schools I've worked with they generally tend to be either Elmo and Aver visualisers. But, as has been hinted at, they are becoming more and more rare in schools. Is there a specific reason you want visualisers?

There is Osborne Technologies Entrysign system which have 15" screens (I think) which is a cheaper version of the Inventry System to consider but even that sounds more than you need. If you go with a tablet due to their screen size then there are lockable tablet stand options available on Amazon and places like that.

Morning. What size screen are you considering? And then you would need to know what the VESA of the screen is. You can get kiosks for tablets but again that's dependant on screen size. So there are options open to you.

I've not used Genee boards all that much to know what the exact issue you are having is however I do have a contact at Genee who may be able to help?

I have to agree with what's been mentioned here already. I have doubts that the problem is the laptops and you could be spending a lot of money only to find that the problem still remains. It's far more likely to be issues with your network. NB9457 asked some really good questions. Assuming the I3 laptops have 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM they should be more than enough, especially in a primary school environment.

My only experience with them was 3yrs ago when I installed them into school in West Yorkshire. Dutch company. They do come with a PC on board but then again you will find that any touchscreen can now accommodate a PC on board. Their software, certainly at the time, was unique. Crisp, clear setup, 3D graphics etc but it did used to be all cloud based. I think that's changed but it would be worth double checking. Looks like you know what's out there but the other product you should consider is the C-Touch with their Oktopus software.

I've never heard of them but then again there will be loads of internet based suppliers I've not heard of. Personally I'd be concerned by the fact that there is no contact number for them.

The best one I have used was an Epson EB575 (which is now obsolete). Replaced by the EB675WI. It was intuitive and had a good brightness for a projector of that type. It was wireless and I loved the huge screen size it could give you as well. Just a massive canvas on your wall to work with. It's biggest con really was it's price. When the price of touchscreens dropped nobody ever asked for them anymore and I've not had much interaction with them for a while now. Only recognises 2 point touch as well.

Nothing. But that's the point. They don't provide you with software which you have to pay for but are unlikely to use. They have an android O/S and a writing app and that's it. All touchscreens do is share the screen from your laptop, which you can then control from the touchscreen. So just plug your laptop/pc in the back of it, fire up the Smart software and off you go. Provided you bought the special licence of course. Or are using something ancient like Notebook 11.

I have also used the M700's installed in the back of touchscreens and found them to be very reliable. Would be more than happy to use them again.

Have you considered getting a usb to micro usb adapter?

If you were wanting to still use the Smart software, your supplier should of advised you to purchase Benq or Iiyama screens instead of Clevertouches. Much cheaper and no need for any file conversion. This is not to say Clevertouches are bad - they are very good pieces of kit and they aren't market leaders for nothing. It's just your situation called for an alternative solution.
