tried a drive with the 40T and 80T options Despite what mode I put it on it shows Drive Fault 14 at 00/c1 I want the BBC to work!

I understand what you are saying. So in order to get all of them to work again, I either have to update the other 70 or so Office programs, or re-install mine? There is no way of editing files or rolling back an update so it's the same?

We have got a double disk drive which has switches on the back, but it doesn't light up or make noise or anything. Then we have another two drives, one again a double drive. Have tred both drives. One comes up with the error and the other doesn't do anything. The second of those two drives is a single drive, and that lights up gives signs of living, but does nothing on screen. I'll try dig out more discs

Do all commands need the * before hand? because I havent been doing that? and the drive is lighting up, and makes some very faint noises. When I press shift break the ">" cursor does dissappear but then it hangs and I press ctrl break to try again. Have tried plenty discs but no joy. We have more, so I could try some more. I'm only 19.. these things we're pretty much gone by the time I was 6!

I don't really know enough about the BBCs trying to load it using Shift Break, and thats the way it come up with the error posted above. Have tried the Load / Run method but it told me I had a syntax error I have a real one, just don't know how to use it!

I've tried three drives. Only one drive had the light on the front light up, and then it come up with the error I posted. Doesn't look like I'm going to get my BBC to work then? at the moments its just acting as a calculator

Totally agree. My ALL TIME favorite film is V for Vendetta. Every time I watch it I see something knew or work something else out. And it's just so... EPIC! Other than that Shaun of the Dead... and everything else with Simon Pegg, but mostly Shaun of the Dead. Must have seen that near 40 times and can almost quote the whole film.

Everything we have Mac wise in on leopard and its all 10.5.6 The folder is added in the allowed folders, again its for Office 10.5 not 10.5.1 however I'm hesitant of adding it again in case it stops the art machines from working. Should workgroup manager allow it to work whatever the version of office then, with only adding it once?

might start saving my pennies to try build one then. My system at home is a few years old, its a nice system but nothing amazing these days. and atm, can't really afford liquid nitrogen OR liquid Helium.

For some odd reason it seems to, atleast that is the only thing different from mine to the ones in Art, for example. Mine doesn't run and their does. And mine was able to run before I updated it.

Sorry, I didn't give enough information. I know about the server applications, my bad. We have Office already in WGM. That works fine for all of our Art Macs which has version 11.5.0 However I've updated it to 11.5.1 which then makes it not allowed to run. And if I add it to WGM it will enable mine to run but not in art. For the time being I have allowed it in machine preferences so it can run, but I don't want to keep it like this. I want it all to be consistent and the same. If that makes sense?

didn't have a section for this in technical I've never used a BBC Micro before Its a Model B managed to dig out a machine, diskette drives and a screen. Loads of games and stuff too. But for some reason the games don't boot. Anyone has experience with BBC Micros?

Has anyone done it before? I'm looking for a half demanding task to do at home and I didn't know how hard building a Water Cooled PC is compared with building a normal PC. I don't actually have a reason to have a Water Cooled PC either, I don't tend to over clock or do anything graphically demanding. But then this is because I have been scared to experiment. It would be nice to learn over clocking and starting playing games with stupid graphics. So yes, how challenging is it to build a Water Cooled PC and how expensive does it tend to be?
