Does anybody have a document for teachers to sign when they install school licensed software on their home computers that I could plagiarise? Software like Adobe CS4 has a School Site License that comes with an additional 50 teacher home-use rights licenses. Something that put the emphasis on the teacher to remove the software when they leave the employment of the school, and wavers the school from ensuring that they do

Protection software is DeepFreeze Yes two OS licences are required. We have set the boot option in msdos.sys not to automatically load an OS after x seconds so they have plenty of time to select home or school.

We are hoping to get around some of the problems by setting up the laptops with three partitions. First partition is the student Home OS. Student have administration rights and protection software installed to stop alteration of third partition (which is set as hidden) Third Partition is the Schools OS with protection software running protecting partition 1 and 3 (Partition one set as hidden) The second partition is there data drive for saving work. Both Home and School partitions MY Documents folders have been redirected to this partition. If there home partition become unusable or corrupt all we are doing is re ghosting back. We are about to start issuing out so time will tell if this method works

I was under the impression you would only be able to submit faults if you got a licence code and activated it. As microsoft have removed the 2.5 million limit until 24th goto the technet side and request one.

From the View menu select Status Window, this will continually work its way round all teacher machines and tell you what state they are in and which channel they are broadcasting on. You are given the teachers computer name its ip, channel running on, what its controlling/limiting Limiting web access Limiting applications Limiting printing Limiting usb drives Blanking Screens Remote control You can also get the same info by running security.exe file from the utilities folder. Additional benefit of this you can send it to a log file.

I’m upgrading the three workstations that Success Maker Enterprise run on (stand along installs) I've installed all the software, changed the database name from SME to SME1/SME2/SME3 to match the original machines. They all log in fine with no errors about duplicate database name on network BUT when I use the import utility to import the students with there previous results I get the error message Error: ASA Error - 198: Primary key for row 'Attendance' is referenced by foreign key 'Attendance' in table 'Online'. It has imported all the students names and groups, but no history/grades for the students. This error message has only occurred on the second and third machine. (First import all three workstations turned on, subsequent tries other two workstations turned off) Has anybody had this error before, to save me renewing our contract with RM

I'am right in thinking when you select shutdown and install updates, that you are logged out of your account before the updates are installed and that this would mean that in no way could a screen saver could become active.

Guidance making a ghost boot disc with netbootdisk.com
tomlin replied to FN-GM's topic in How do you do....it?
Once you have created the floppy you have two chioces, edit the two files below or boot the floppy and when prompted (30 second time limit to press key or it continues) manually enter the settings for your network. \NetBoot\menupref.bat \NetBoot\FileCopy\Logon.bat Remember you cannot logon to a windows 2003 server or later, unless you lower the server security settings. -

tomlin replied to sidewinder's topic in General Chat
Goto the web page showing the video required. View the source code and search for .flv the link will start with /films/.......flv add the website domain infront of the link http://www.digizen.co.uk and place the new full link into the address bar, and it will download the flv file. -
