There's no quick or easy answer as it depends on your style and what you shoot. Each of the lenses you have listed have different strengths and weaknesses, some things they'll excel at and some they'll be useless for. If I owned what you listed above I'd probably carry the 35mm-70mm range (on camera) as this is a good focal range for daily shooting and the 55-250mm in a bag as it's good for the times you need longer zoom/reach. Again, what you're shooting will have a huge impact on what you should carry, if you're wildlife, a 35-70mm lens is almost useless, if you're shooting in confined spaces then a 55-250mm isn't suitable at all. I'd recommend spending time with each lens, maybe a few weeks using each one exclusively and learn what they're good at and what they aren't suited to. Once you've done this you'll know which to throw into your bag and which to leave at home. This would also be a good process for determining which macro lens is best, their stats on paper don't always tell a full story, it's the results you get with them which matters most.

Re: the bold... I think this hits the nail on the head, you're being asked to solve a problem that shouldn't exist. Nearly all admin job specs state 'Strong IT skills' as a required skill, if this hasn't been confirmed as a part of the recruitment process then it needs changing to make sure it catches this, otherwise and in the meantime ECDL is a good solution. All of our admin job candidates sit a basic practical IT task as a part of the interview process.

Hi all We're seeing odd Youtube behaviour and i cant find the problem Using ie11 and win7 32bit. Youtube videos do not play at all, they try to load and the cog/icon goes round and round forever. This is html5 player. The weird thing is that if i reset ie11 settings to default then the videos play through the html5 until a logoff or restart. This suggest that a gpo is causing the problems but i dont know what could be? Does anyone know where to look first before i go through the horrible process of changing a setting at a time in gpo!

Be careful with freemake, I found it spams users with lots of adverts and had to remove it.

I'd suggest the school seek legal advise through their normal channels, whilst you continue to push the issue further up the chain at BT, if you've got nowhere within a few weeks at least you'll have some solid legal advice and the school will know how to proceed.

Well it's untrue, nothing more to say. It sounds like she's throwing her toys out of the pram to get her own way. As above, explain the amount of work involved and insist that things stay as they are. If the Head falls on her side again, stick to your guns and repeat why you think it's a bad idea, if the Head persists then there isn't much you can do but comply begrudgingly, put your reasons in writing in case there's ever any come back.

This might not be a suitable workaround as it could allow people to access facebook content directly if they knew the URL of the individual item. So even though they cannot visit https://www.facebook.com/games they could potentially access a video on that page by going directly to the appropriate https://*.fbcdn.net/* URL.

Your problem arises because the content will be stored elsewhere, not on https://www.facebook.com/DofESouthEast. The images might be on https://images.facebook.com and video on https://video.facebook.com etc (those are made up examples). One of the images for example is this URL; https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s526x395/11222454_1167143923316437_1604493210796409018_n.jpg?oh=4a1ab55f1cc6662f2ce2a01679887ba2&oe=5785417B If you unblocked https://*.fbcdn.net/* you would have then all content hosted within that domain unblocked but should keep the existing facebook page blocks in place. I'm guessing fbcdn is short for Facebook Content Delivery Network and I'd assume all of their content is stored there (or at least the vast majority). Don't forget to test!

Have you pushed them on this? Ask them to state the level of risk, you can then combat this with the level of risk as you're currently set up, if your principal can see sense then they should see that it's not worth the extra hassle. It sounds like the company are creating a problem that doesn't exist in order to come in and 'save the day', at a price of course. Ask them for facts and then tackle them on those individually.

Has the principle said why they want this? It's an odd request from someone in that position. I'd be asking them what exactly it is that they're trying to achieve and find a better way of doing it, if it needs doing at all.

Greetings I hope someone can help me with this issue. I am trying to set a new IE homepage through group policy and I'm failing miserably. I have a GPP which contains the desired homepage and settings, it is applied to the necessary OU in AD. Despite this policy being in place and being successfully applied as demonstrated by Group Policy Modelling the homepage on clients stubbornly clings to an old setting. Many moons ago, IEAK was used to set some settings for previous IE installs, I'm wondering if this is causing issues, the current Windows 7 image is a descendant of the image which was configured with IEAK. The correct solution is to create a new image, which I'm working on but I need to change the homepage in the meantime. When a user is logged on to a client which is affected, I can see that the old homepage is set in the registry at the following keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Default_Page_URL I've created a policy to overwrite the keys above but it doesn't seem to have any effect despite applying successfully. My guess (clutching at straws) is that there's something else, lingering in the unknown which is taking precedence, but what? I can't find any other reg keys which might be to blame and I can't find anything to indicate it is group policy. Can anyone offer any suggestions? TIA
