This thread is really interesting... we are about 350 machines (PC/MAC) including laptops, 14 servers, AV kit in every room(which we install), mobile AV kit IWB's (we install), 100ish phones inc VOIP, VM and AA, 5 signage screens, LAN/WLAN sitewide which we install, website, VLE, staff training and all the other usual stuff plus a lot of staff that need lots of help! 1 NM, 1 me and 1 part time techie

  3. True, Id much rather go somewhere with loads of projects that need doing in a way so you can sort it yourself!
  4. Just to say that this very point was made extremely clear when we were considering Ruckus (which we did purchase). Im nearly half way through installing and its performing well so far.

  11. ive used them before also - they are a bit flimsy but they are cheap too! None of our server racks have sides or fronts on for cooling
  12. I have a Canon MP610 and its great with cheap ink. PC Pro: Product Reviews: Canon Pixma MP610 its replaced by the MP630 now which is still top of the A-List.
  13. we have used SITR in the past although they are not free but they take all our old broken LCD panels, projector lamps, batteries etc too which need to be disposed of properly.
  14. ive had this problem and still isnt resolved as its only me that uses it. I found a setting which ended up users logging into webmail needed to type domain\username but then it worked perfectly (forgot the setting though). anyways it lead me to believe that its a problem with our self assigned certificate even though its installed on the device correctly.

  17. Hi Has anyone used Sharepoint for thier school website? We currently use it for all our intranet and departmental sites but are looking to use it for a CMS website. Does anyone know of any companies that will design us a new site in sharepoint if we dont do it in house (as its a pain to get looking nice)? Also, any idea of cost for someone to do us a new site using another CMS if we put all the content in ourselves - we are just looking for a design/framework setting up. Thanks for any help!
  18. We use a lot of Optoma EP727's. Way less than £500, DLP, shutsdown in 10 secs and is pretty bright, small and light too.
