  1. We have just started using EPraise.co.uk | A school reward system designed to motivate students. Integrates with SIMS and allows for custom achievement types and rewards. Students can log in to their area (using AD accounts) and see points / achievements awarded, and can also redeem points in a shop with items we put in there (like jump the lunch queue, etc.) May be worth a look and not too expensive. JB.
  2. We recently had an issue similar to this (intermittent external mail flow/queuing) - we ended up changing the network config of the send connector from using an FQDN to an IP and it's been fine since for the past month (touch wood). JB.
  3. We use Ubiquiti NanoStations for some hard to reach HD cctv locations. Has been rock solid (throughput and stability), and very easy to set up. The RF tools which are built in are also very handy when it comes to tuning the system. JB.
  4. John beat me to it. It's entirely scalable - ask them for a copy of their latest full PSN catalogue (around 7.5 mb .pdf), which outlines all services they offer (both in and out of the OGC framework). Handests /can/ be expensive, because the monthly contract price is so low, but there are often £50+ credits applied when a new contract is taken out. Or you can just buy a £1 a month sim card, which i think costs £20. JB.
  5. We use the OGC Public Sector tariffs from Orange/EE. Give their public sector team a shout and they'll sort you out. 0800 0790 091. We have a variety of contracts and add-ons, but for most phones we pay £2.50 per month. JB.
  6. I think you have to reboot to get the console to connect on the 726s. It might be worth leaving one connected on your next reboot to look at when it subsequently fails. JB.
  7. I would have a separate backup job with just the system states for a couple reasons - you can never have too many backups, the more options available to you when it hits the fan, the better. - you can keep a longer archive of system states to roll back to without using as much space compared to keeping the whole server image - sometimes larger backup jobs fail, and if you have system state as part of this then there is risk of not having a good system state because the main job failed on some other files it couldn't backup. JB
  8. Get system states *and* bare metal. Then you can easily do auth and non auth restored of DCs very quickly without having to worry about USN's etc from bare metal. JB.
  9. For them. Dell seem to have inverse logic’d their sales technique. I can now apparently buy 4 Dell Vostro’s for the price of 5 PowerEdge R720 Rack Server Details | Dell UK Quick I’ll have 10. No, 8. Wait - what? JB.
  10. We use Ex2003 sp2 with a number of iOS devices. Looking back at my file when we migrated our hardware a few years ago and introduced iOS devices, i have these bookmarked - hope they're of some use: iOS: Troubleshooting Exchange ActiveSync 'Push' issues iOS 4.0: Exchange Mail, Contacts, or Calendars may not sync after update I also guess you're using a proper SSL cert, and have tried reapplying SP2? JB
  11. *Correct* /Pedant. They see me trollin'. . . .
  12. Copyright & Schools: photocopy, scan, screen or broadcast copyright resources in classrooms - simple advice for teachers is a good place to start your journey into the wonderful world of copyright! JB
  13. I've looked at these before, which sound like they're similar to what you're after ; I-desk I-Fold or I-desk I-Cyber (no affiliation with the company, just seen at BETT and during the course of project scoping) JB.
  14. Yep - i also thought those with LSU's may have a restricted access on SupportNet. We have support with a LSU and can't get the file. JB
  15. The SSAT and The Schools Network is/was the same organisation that went under and don't really exist any more (at least not in the same way they used to) iirc. As Marci has said you'd be in breach of the terms of use of the logo by creating your own version (however similar), as it is not the authorised or correct logo.
  16. Your score: 4 Gender: Male Age range: 30-39 Best score for your gender and age range: 0 Highest score for your gender and age range: 1520
  17. Maybe the gpo folders have had perms or attribs changed and you don't have permission to change them. What happens when you clone the Reg Pol; can you edit the newly created one? JB.
  18. Hiya, Can't you request a copy of the SOLUS 2 setup files - we ask for these each time we do a SOLUS 3 update just in case things go wrong. . . .? JB.
